Inspired by Mexico, the Mex restaurant in Zeeland has been totally renovated. This space was already a Mexican restaurant, but with other management and outdated interiors. With a new owner and the willingness to continue a restaurant with this motive, a new concept was created for the space using elements of the quotidian of the Mexican life. The sombreros that were a wall decoration before, are now used as lightning fixtures and the serape costume was used on the sofas. A lot of vegetation was used as well as elements inspired by the flora. Overall is a festive and cheerful environment, which is completed by the use of woods, motifs inspired by animals with a robust typical Mexican style.
